How to Watch the Entire Star Wars Saga in Chronological Order
Star Wars is big. For a generation it was just three movies, and then for another generation it was six movies and a cartoon if you were into that sort of thing. But nowadays, we’re living in a Golden Age of Star Wars content that gives us a steady stream of new content every year. But what if you were a person (like me) who wanted the challenge of watching the entire saga in order? I’d understand if you needed a little help getting it sorted.
But look no further! Because I’ve assembled every canon bit of Star Wars that was ever filmed and made a handy list for you.
A few notes before we start…
- I’m focusing on Star Wars properties that appeared as movies or TV, so no uniquely video game, comic or novel content.
- It’s always a question of canon whether or not to include the 80’s cartoons and made for TV specials. As of now, canon excludes the animated Droids and Ewoks series, as well as the live-action Endor special Caravan of Courage (and I think it had a sequel, too). So they’re not in this list.
- As charming as it is, LEGO Star Wars isn’t included here.
- Star Wars Visions is generally considered canon adjacent, so I haven’t included it here.
